MDS arrested for stealing gold chain
Coimbatore. Police arrested a dentist who stole gold chain of a lady. It was Jobi (33), wife of Biju Thomas from Changanacherry whose gold chain was taken by Dr. Pradeep (36) , Shivaji colony, Edayar palayam main road. Jobi and family were returning after visiting Velankanni by Ernakulam tea garden express.
After midnight on Monday, when the train reached Tirupur, Pradeep snatched the chain worth 2 sovereign gold from Jobi’s neck while she was sleeping. After 1.30 am when the train reached Coimbatore, Pradeep was trying to escape when CRF confronted him and recovered the gold chain hidden in his clothes. He was handed over to the Railway Police, presented to the court and jailed. Pradeep is an MDS degree older.
Dental clinic chain raid- 13 arrested
NATIONAL Police fraud squad officers have arrested 13 members of the board of directors of one of Spain’s largest dentist chains.
They were said to have been demanding their branches to pay them in cash, stashing it in tax havens in Switzerland and Luxembourg, and then using it to buy luxury cars and other assets without declaring it to the tax authorities.

Earlier, students were only interested in doing MBBS but now a days the mindset has changed and students are deliberately opting for Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS).(so said DCI member)

Bite mark evidence should no longer be admitted in court cases
A Texas forensic science commission has recommended that bite mark evidence should no longer be admitted in court cases. LINK
The decision comes after Steven Mark Chaney, a Dallas man, was freed from prison last fall when the court agreed that bite mark evidence used to convict him of murder was bogus.

A dentist allegedly linked to militant group Al Qaeda as well as Safoora Goth terrorist Saad Aziz was arrested after an encounter early on Sun-day, Preedy police station officials said.
