Dentist commits suicide after breakup
SURAT: A 24-year-old dentist committed suicide in his clinic at Amroli area of the city on Friday. The deceased blamed his fiancee, who had broken up with him, for breach of trust in his suicide note.

Pvt college capitation fee illegal: SC asks center to act
Private technical and medical colleges demanding capitation fee from students is illegal and unethical, the Supreme Court has said and asked the Centre to make laws to put an end to such practices.
The court said that quality of education has gone down in private colleges which are turning into students financing institutions.
“Collection of large amount by way of capitation fee running into crores of rupees for MBBS and post-graduate seats, exorbitant fee, donation etc, by many of such self- financing institutions, have kept the meritorious financially poor students away from these institutions”

Bid to link private dental college, Co-operative Medical College
Kochi: A sly attempt is being made to link a private dental college proposed to be set up at Kakkanad, to the Kochi Co-operative Medical College, so as it use its resources with the alleged connivance of the Co-operation Ministry and CAPE, which currently controls the college.
It’s learnt that a private outfit based at Chennai, Sunshine Educational Trust, approached the Co-operation Minister with this request and influenced him. MORE HERE
