Fake dentist busted
A Collier County (Fl, USA) man is accused of operating a bogus dentistry business out of his Collier County garage. Now, authorities say, they want his patients to come forward.
From a dental chair to an X-ray machine, syringes and all the tools in between, Juan Diego Garcia-Castano’s makeshift dental office looked like your typical dental office, but on the other side of a wall was a motorcycle.
“It’s about a 1,200 square foot dwelling. The garage had been converted into a clinic,” said Collier County Sheriff’s Office Detective Jose Rosario. MORE HERE n Video

Conflicts of Interest Prevalent in Dental Research
Researchers are more likely to report positive results about dental treatments if they get paid by the companies marketing the treatments, a new study suggests.
In an analysis of 135 randomized clinical trials from leading dental journals, those in which the authors had a conflict of interest were 2.4 times more likely to have positive results, the study shows. MORE HERE

However, according to a new study published in the May/June 2013 issue of General Dentistry, the peer-reviewed clinical journal of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), consuming cheese and other dairy products may help protect teeth against cavities. Merit student denied admission, deserves to get compensation
The Supreme Court of India has ruled that performance should be the only criterion in admitting students to professional colleges and said that if a relatively less meritorious student colludes with the management to sideline a better student, then he or she has to compensate the victim for the loss.
The ruling comes after a student of the Pt B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences in Haryana appealed to the Supreme Court after being denied admission to the MBBS course while less meritorious students were admitted. MORE HERE

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the results of the first National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) unexpectedly on Wednesday evening. Tooth damage may be a sign of celiac disease
