DCI goes witch hunting ?
As per sources DCI in its gen body decided to recommend to central govt to De-register a dentist from Cochin, who is also a DCI member. Even before DCI decision came into effect, Kerala high court has granted stay on this.
It is most humbly prayed that this Hon’ble Court may be pleased to call for the records and issue the following reliefs :-
i. declare that the decision taken by the 2nd respondent during the 129th Session of the General Body Meeting to recommend to the Central Government to remove the petitioner from the membership of the Dental Council of India and also to direct the Kerala State Dental Council to debar the petitioner from practicing and to remove the petitioner from the State Register is without jurisdiction and consequently it is null and void. Antibacterial orthodontic cement to prevent white lesions
Orthodontic cement containing 3% DMADDM was the most strongly antibacterial. These results show that the DMADDM-containing orthodontic cement inhibited biofilms and lactic acid without compromising the enamel bond strength, and hence may be promising to reduce or eliminate demineralization in enamel around orthodontic brackets.
