Delhi Dental (Delhi Dental council registrar) arrested by CBI in Bribery case
CBI, while probing a corruption case, arrested Dr Rishi Raj (Registrar of Delhi Dental Council) and N Pradeep Sharma (Advocate, Delhi Dental Council) on Saturday night while taking Rs 4.73 lakh bribe from a complainant for getting him favourable order from Delhi Dental Council and also for extending help in further legal proceedings in his matter. The arrested DDC functionaries had allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 15 lakh. Following their arrest, the agency teams searched their residences and found safe inside Rishi Raj’s house.
A deposit slip of bank counter foils pertaining to cheque deposits worth Rs 2 crore in 2011 in the name of Jain, his wife Poonam Jain and a company linked to them – JJ Ideal State Pvt Company; 41 cheque-books reflecting transactions worth crores by Jain and family apart from Rs 24 lakh cash and half kg gold were also recovered from the locker, said CBI person. Andheri-dentist produces video in defense of botched up implant
An Andheri-based dentist, who was accused by a patient of botching up an implant leaving her in pain and unable to eat solid food, has got the police to close the case after producing a video of the complainant feasting at a local gurudwara’s community meal.
The MIDC police station closed the case against Dr Jyoti Oberoi, 30, (pic below) after the Maharashtra State Dental Council, which looked into the charges made by 63-yearold patient Avatar Kaur, reviewed the video which showed Kaur consuming bread, vegetables and kheer, without any apparent discomfort at a langar. Suicide by newly wed Dentist -Dowry harassment case slapped
Chennai: The Madipakkam police have slapped a dowry harassment case against the doctor after his newlywed dentist wife committed suicide in the city.
The victim Shalini (26), a dental doctor, had married Vishnu Bharat (30) on November 29. A native of Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, Shalini had moved to Ram Nagar South, Madipakkam with her husband after the marriage and was looking out for a job in Chennai. NEWSLINK
