Dental college with FAKE Dean
About 500 students of the Saraswati-Dhanwantari Dental College and Hospital (SDDCH), Post Graduate and Research Institute, Parbhani, are a confused lot regarding their future. Despite being denied affiliation, the college is continuing with its admission process. The students have approached DCI for help. MUHS vice-chancellor summoned the SDDCH dean for a hearing, it was found that a ‘fake’ dean attended the hearing. MORE HERE

Principal of a private dental college was today arrested and sent to jail for allegedly harassing girl students here. The incident came to light yesterday when students created a ruckus inside the campus and also thrashed the principal, police said.

Dr. Baljeet Singh Hora, principal of Kalka Dental College, Merrut, UP was at the receiving end of the ire of students on Wednesday. A group of students thrashed him up after some women students alleged that he had a roving eye and would send objectionable comments to them as SMS. Judges, IPS, IAS children bought seats in Pvt dental/medical colleges
Documents have been submitted in the Supreme Court by whistleblowers who allege that children and relatives of judges, IAS and IPS officers are among those who bought seats in private medical and dental colleges. Whistleblower Anand Rai said he, among others, had submitted the names of judges linked to the admissions scam in private colleges to Chief Justice of India in a sealed envelope. MORE HERE
Patients can spot trouble with new dental implants
(Reuters Health) – Patients with new dental implants may be able to detect signs of trouble early enough to help prevent complications that can damage gums and bone, a British study suggests.The study, co-authored by Dr. Simon Wright of the Implant Centers of Excellence in the U.K., tested a hypothesis that patients can’t perceive the difference between successful and unsuccessful implants. Wright didn’t respond to emails seeking comment.

Drinking alcohol may worsen periodontal disease
July 9, 2015 — The more alcohol people drink, the worse their periodontal condition may be, according to a new study in the Journal of Periodontology. The findings show that men and women who consume at least four alcoholic drinks per week have worse periodontal status than those who drink less than that amount monthly, or who do not drink alcohol at all. MCI stops MBBS in Seven medical colleges- ( DCI hve Guts ?)
MCI has barred seven of the 16 private medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh from running the MBBS course, officials said on Wednesday.
As a result, the number of MBBS seats in Uttar Pradesh for the 2015-16 session has shrunk by 900.
